
Lecture on “Women’s Rights and Gender Equality”
Assistant Professor Dr. Rana Riyadh Khaleel from the Department of Scientific Affairs delivered a lecture titled “Women’s Rights and Gender Equality” on Thursday, February 13, 2025, in the Computer Science Department. The lecture highlighted the importance of achieving gender equality in education and employment and empowering women in the workplace, market, and society. It also emphasized the need to promote women’s rights and achieve economic, social, and political empowerment.
A number of affiliates and students attended the lecture, which discussed the challenges women face in society and called for enhanced cooperation between the public and private sectors to support women’s rights and achieve gender equality.
This lecture is part of ongoing efforts to promote women’s rights and gender equality, the fifth goal of the Sustainable Development Goals. The lecture stressed the importance of collective action in achieving these goals.
